Identity branding is basically your mark on the world. Its is your "A.K.A". Identity branding is used to make viewers aware of the name and the products/services the creator/company offers. In a lot of cases a logo (Logo Work) is the start of Identity Branding. That is one of the million ways to brand the company/individual behind the logo. Identity branding may air on anything from television screens to printed ads on Broadway, NYC. Logo's often have treatments applied to them. A logo treatment gives a logo depth, style, colors, and an environment to play in. These scenes often become animated into an ID Slate. ID Slates are one of the more common ways of Identity branding. These are commonly seen on television screens, on movie intros (such as Warner Bros. [WB shield], Paramount [stars flying through the sky, then over a mountain], Universal Studios [revolving type around the planet Earth], etc.) and websites. In other words ID Slates are animated shorts. Animations are based on the logo that is being mass produced for branding. Giving the logo characteristics of a dog, and adding life are some of many ways to represent a logo in an ID Slate.
